My Interview On 100 Huntley Street

100 Huntley Street is Canada’s longest running daily talk show.

They tell stories of people who have had life-changing encounters with God – whether they be world leaders, celebrities, sports figures or everyday people and late last year I got to go on the show.

I remember the show as a boy growing up in Canada. In fact, my grandparents bought their first and only TV so they could watch 100 Huntley Street. So it was an honor and fun experience to be asked to come on the show. Normally it airs live, but the night before my interview we had a crazy rain storm that killed the studio power. They had a generator that basically kept the lights and cameras on the morning I arrived but we couldn’t go live. So they taped my interview with Moira Brown and it just aired Monday of this week.

It’s kinda fun to watch it and realize that I don’t look as nervous as I felt and that my words actually made sense. It was so my heart that Gods love would be revealed.

What If…

What if we began to discover God as a measureless Love that has all authority and is the most powerful revelation on the planet but never controls.

What if we live, move and have our being to grow sure in Love and to become love?

Mercy and Grace

Jesus didn’t just come to set us free from sin; He came to empower us into righteousness. He didn’t just reveal the Father in all His mercy, He revealed the Father in all His grace. Jesus never released mercy without following up with grace. In fact, mercy is incomplete without it.

Literal Inerrancy and Child Sacrifice?

For years a literal, inerrant approach to scripture had me reading this story and wrestling with the nature of God’s goodness instead of the nature of man’s fallen thinking.

As though a good god is a god who would partner with the idea of child sacrifice to, in some way, test his kids. As though Abrahams’s demonic belief in child sacrifice is meant to define what God is like instead of what Abraham was like; what a fallen mindset is like, what we, humanity, are capable of attributing to the nature of God…

Talking Sovereignty and Faith with Randall Worley

I was honored to have a conversation with Randall Worley about the goodness of God, the mystery of faith, the sovereignty of God and navigating the murky waters of offense in these unprecedented times.

2019 NEWSLETTER

I’ve often described how leading A Family Story these past years has felt much like exploring the best route up a mountain while people are following you.

It’s been an exhilarating adventure filled with joy, breakthrough, and revelation. It’s also had its share of wrong turns and backtracking.

It can be a challenge to cast vision while backtracking. But there has been nothing more transformational than the goodness of God we’ve discovered through pioneering!

A New Language

There were no limited resources in Jesus’s reality; there were no limits to His love, generosity, mercy, grace, healing, hope, and life. There were no needs Love couldn’t trump, no measurements that couldn’t be surpassed.
