This message was given to Newsong Church in 2016.  Jason talks about how Proverbs 13:2 “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life” is not meant to be a commentary on life. We can actually choose by faith to live in “longing fulfilled” regardless of our circumstances. We are instructed to live abounding in hope.

I have learned that this journey we are all on is about one simple thing, believing He loves us.

Does God Use Tragedy To Manipulate

God never instigates nor manipulates a tragedy to grow faith, that’s not what a good Father does. But it is what a controlling God would do.

A Matter Of Trust

It could be said Peter failed during his time of testing but it wasn’t about his success, it was about his experience. Jesus already knew Peter would deny Him. Yet the experience was essential to Peter’s journey. His ownership of that experience from denial to redemption was what allowed him to be life to his friends.

INTIMACY IS THE STRATEGY

Our mandate as a church is discovered in Jesus’ words “on earth as it is in heaven” but the implementation is discovered when Jesus said, “I pray that you would be one just as We are one.” The strategy is intimacy.

The Older Brother

Because he didn’t truly know his dads heart, he couldn’t truly know who he was nor could he understand how his dad could celebrate his brothers return. He was essentially saying, “Why on earth are you celebrating my brother? What’s he done for you lately?”

A Prayer For Our Economy

Last night I had the honor of worshipping and praying for Charlotte and our Nation with radical revivalists.
