Hearing God

Jason kicks off a Newsong Church message series based on Mark Batterson’s book, Whisper. Jason teaches on the importance of our methodology of interpretation (our hermeneutic). Jason highlights how Jesus always heard God through the lens of family and while He lived as an obedient servant, it was always in the context of son-ship. I no longer call you servant, I call you friend. Friendship with God is the whole point of hearing Him. And when we are His friends, we represent Him truly. “We can’t be His voice if we can’t hear His voice.”

This message was given to Newsong Church, Jan 2018.

In this message, Jason noted song lyrics from his album, Heaven’s Crush

“I’ve been Your Echo, I’ve been Your shadow, but my heart is to know You so I can be Your voice.”

This message is an invitation to join the apostle Peter on the other side of the cross. To live in the confidence of the reward Jesus purchased for us.

Jesus lived from His Father pleasure, from His Fathers measureless love. And He purchased for us, this same revelation.

FAITH & HUNGER: A Redeemed Imagination

Jason teaches how our faith is a partnership with our redeemed imagination. It’s the evidence of things unseen

Jason introduces the book he is currently working on, Leaving (& finding) Jesus, which challenges readers to stop building their faith upon the broken foundations of a transactional view of God, and instead, embrace the powerful understanding of reconciliation and self-giving love that truly transforms our lives and our world.

We were created to burn for God and to live in such a way that the world is transformed

Chaos, Initiation, and Atmosphere

Paul taught us that grace was “sufficient,” “more than enough” to empower us in the areas of our weakness.
