My Heart Runs | John Mark McMillan

Fed by waterfalls and surrounded by towering green cliffs, Milford Sound might be the single most beautiful place I’ve ever been. Plus when the tide goes out, you can walk right out into the middle of it!

This was basically the perfect location to sing “Heart Runs”… except the song was so new at the time that I kept messing it up! I forgot the words and at the end of a long day I was losing my voice. Then we began to notice the tide was returning and we hadn’t landed a take yet! So if I look intense, it’s only because I thought I was watching our perfect situation disappear before my eyes while I ruined every opportunity! This might be why we never released this video. Though after seeing it again years later, I think we did get a decent take, even if I look like I’m about to throw my guitar in the water!

OFFENDED BY GOD’S GOODNESS

Jason speaks on the offensively good news. He speaks on the measureless revelation of love, how love is beyond our ability to comprehend…

THAT WE WOULD BE ONE

THAT WE WOULD BE ONE

This message was given at The Reformers Gathering in 2019 at The Gate Church in Charlotte NC. This message is an invitation into the reformation that Jesus started 2000 years ago, it is an invitation into oneness with Christ.

SURE IN LOVE

SURE IN LOVE

Our Heavenly Father is always good and doesn’t desire desperate kids. Any relationship where kids are desperate for their Father is dysfunctional. Jesus revealed what it looks like to live sure as a loved son of our Father and gave us access to this same sureness.

John describes a relationship with a person, Christ. He invites us to embrace mystery so we might discover that God looks like Jesus.

CHERITH FEE NORDLING / A PERMANENTLY HUMAN GOSPEL

“The reason you can’t take your own human life seriously is because you’ve never taken my (Christ’s) life seriously.” The incarnation, Jesus as fully human, Jesus and His divinity, grace, cruciform love, leaving Gnosticism, resurrection fearlessness, freedom, and salvation as a human story; in this conversation, Cherith shares a beautiful gospel in which we are discovering how to enter into the life of Jesus!

Introducing Children to the Father

I prayed. “Father, come make your love known.” Immediately our Father, Ethan’s and mine, filled the room with His love. It’s hard to explain but let me try. For the next ten minutes, while I lay there and held Ethan, my body trembled with God’s presence. I literally shook with His love.

Jesus, The Stranger

I think Jesus showed up as a stranger, so their limited ideas regarding the goodness of God wouldn’t cut them off from experiencing the goodness of God…so their limited ability to understand friendship with God wouldn’t cut them off from experiencing the friendship with God…so their theology wouldn’t undermine their ability to encounter the nature of Gods kindness…so their understanding of the reconciling love of God could be experienced without their belief in the retributive nature of God getting in the way…so the law would not cut them off from experiencing grace…so their understanding of mercy could bend the knee to mercy…so their thoughts on justice wouldn’t divorce them from experiencing justice

C. BAXTER KRUGER / JESUS MEETS US INSIDE OUR DELUSION

“Jesus has pitched His tent in our flesh… If I didn’t believe that Jesus, Father and Holy Spirit is inside every person on the whole earth, I would not open my mouth… But we are bearing witness to something that is real.”
