A Father's Blessing

Jason gives a Fathers Day message on hope and legacy. Through a story about his grandmother, Jason reveals how what we decide today about who God is and who we are will empower the generations that follow to grow confident in love and live powerfully free lives.

Jason gave this message to Newsong Church Fathers Day 2019.

Jason releases a Father’s blessing over the church.

“May the Lord bless you and keep you, me he make His face shone upon you and be gracious to you.
Father lift up your countenance upon you and give you peace.

I declare that you would reach the purpose for which you were created

You will have courage and passion for the things of God.

I declare dreams that are beyond practical and expectation for the impossible to become possible.

I declare wisdom over you. You are strategically placed and you have influence to change and transform lives.

I declare fruitfulness and favor, that you would know His love and become love.

May you see beauty in all His creation and may you always know His pleasure.

I declare that your children are blessed and will become giants in the faith.

You were born for such a time as this and everything He has is yours.

I pray blessing, protection, a hunger for His presence and a hunger for his word,

and a continually growing revelation of our Fathers good pleaser.

In Jesus name, Amen.”

Jesus, The Stranger

I think Jesus showed up as a stranger, so their limited ideas regarding the goodness of God wouldn’t cut them off from experiencing the goodness of God…so their limited ability to understand friendship with God wouldn’t cut them off from experiencing the friendship with God…so their theology wouldn’t undermine their ability to encounter the nature of Gods kindness…so their understanding of the reconciling love of God could be experienced without their belief in the retributive nature of God getting in the way…so the law would not cut them off from experiencing grace…so their understanding of mercy could bend the knee to mercy…so their thoughts on justice wouldn’t divorce them from experiencing justice

16 Years Baby!

I don’t remember the exact first time I told Karen I loved her. I do remember the first time I kissed her.

Our Inheritance & The Ice Cream Sundae

When it comes to God, I think it’s astounding how greatly our lives are determined by what we believe. If we believe our Father is love and His love is perfected in His goodness, then we will trust. We will live in the expectation of a fuller more powerful life

What About Sin?

“What about sin?” she interrupted rather forcefully. I was sharing with about ten college students on the perfection of our Father’s love. She had started to get jittery when I began discussing how we are prone to love. I thought it was the coffee, but it wasn’t.

Well Done, Tire

We are designed to live a life of risk and trust, to do valiant acts of faith, to live out our radical acts of surrender, to leave it “all out on the field,” all for the glory of our King, so that when we get to heaven we will experience in those 3 beautiful seconds, those 6 stunning words. We are all living for the, “Well done.”

Learning A New Language: Daddy, I See A Ociton

I can feel God speaking to me; I just can’t make it out. And I know He is with me. I know it like I know Oreo’s are better with milk or like I know BA really did like Murdock – he just pretended he didn’t. It’s just one of those things I know.
