Derek and Sarah Turner

Jesus Is Perfect Theology

S.01 EPISODE 9

Derek and Sarah Turner, pastors of River Church Charlotte, share generously and candidly on the goodness of God, Jesus as perfect theology, reading scripture with a hermeneutic of Love, soul care, inclusion, rethinking our understanding of vengeance and wrath and the patient trusting journey into transformation.

“It’s not about the quantity of faith but the placement of faith. In John 17 Jesus prayed that we would believe that our Father loved us as much as our Father loved Him. If we put our faith in anything, let’s put it in Jesus’ prayer being answered.”

Refreshing to hear grounded pastors who are receiving broader understanding through people like Dr. Baxter Kruger and Brad Jersak. All creation is groaning waiting for our revelation as sons and daughters of God. It happens through teachers like that and discussions like this! It’s all about the love of the Trinity that we are included and others are, too. Thank you for this interview! As my husband and I are relatively new to Charlotte, am excited to find more extended family! Hope to meet you, Derek and Sarah, soon! Thanks, Jason and Thomas!
