A Prayer of Thanksgiving

Oh Heavenly Father,

You have been revamping and rebooting my systems for years, bringing me into more and more awareness of this wonder-filled life which you have offered and accomplished for me! Thank you! thank you! thank you!

And little by little, this experience of your life overwhelms and supersedes every lie and untruth that I have believed about You and myself. Down to the deepest, darkest, and dirtiest deceptions in my awareness.

Day by day I am increasingly enlightened of this potential-filled existence where every cellular and emotional response is impacted by grace and beauty, transformed by grace!

Oh this Christ-life!

Righteousness, peace and joy in Holy Ghost!

Oh love of God, how rich and pure, how measureless and strong!
It shall forever more endure the Saints and angels song!

Praying you know measureless enveloping love of our Father today.

Love you

Lloyd

Literal Inerrancy and Child Sacrifice?

For years a literal, inerrant approach to scripture had me reading this story and wrestling with the nature of God’s goodness instead of the nature of man’s fallen thinking.

As though a good god is a god who would partner with the idea of child sacrifice to, in some way, test his kids. As though Abrahams’s demonic belief in child sacrifice is meant to define what God is like instead of what Abraham was like; what a fallen mindset is like, what we, humanity, are capable of attributing to the nature of God…
