I am just really starting my journey of getting out of the Fundamentalist, Evangelical religion and all the burdens it has given me. I struggle with this , and it’s probably because I was ingrained with it. My whole so called christian life was, Jesus had to die , he died for my sins and rose again so that I wouldn’t go to hell. Question: so why did Jesus die, please help me to understand. Maybe the better question is DID Jesus have to die? I am on a journey of Love and that that’s what , who Jesus is but please explain the reason then Jesus died and rose again. Sorry if I sound pathetic, I am just in a weird place of feeling freed and at the same time lost. I hope I hear back from you. Blessings on you. Dolores. P.S. I am reading Leaving and finding Jesus but can’t find the answer there, or maybe I just don’t understand it.
