Thomas Jay Oord & Keith Giles Deconstructing Hell
Perhaps no modern church dogma has been more destructive to the mission of Jesus, created more atheists, or generated more religious trauma than that of eternal conscious torment (ECT). In this podcast, the guys talk with Thomas Jay Oord and Keith Giles about their collaboration on Chad Bahl’s book, Deconstructing Hell. The book brings together experts in their fields to take the reader on a historical, philosophical, and theological journey to deconstruct this harmful doctrine, and the podcast highlights Oord and Gile's contribution. The guys dive into the "logic of love" and offer compelling pathways to reconstruct a biblical perspective on the nature of God and our understanding of hell.

Derrick mentions a (need?) for a ‘better gospel’ in the discourse with your guests on Deconstructing Hell.
A better gospel suggests that the gospel christians have been familiar with for centuries needs to be ameliorated, or even replaced.
I wonder if Derrick’s comment would find itself under the Apostle Paul’s warning, “If anyone preach another gospel other than the one I have preached, let him be anathema (or accursed)”.
It was a scripture that came to me when he said it. Just thought I’d share that—thank you.
