DAVID HEWITT / ULTIMATE REST
In this conversation, hosted by Bob Switzer and Jason, David Hewitt discusses the message of his new book, Ultimate Rest. They guys dive into living from a place of union with God. David emphasizes that the gospel is an announcement of what God has already done, and our role is to awaken to the rest that is already available to us in Christ. David highlights the importance of living in the overflow of God’s love and grace, rather than striving to earn His favor. He encourages a relational approach to sharing the gospel, where we authentically live out our identity in Christ and allow God to work through us.
The conversation explores the themes of rest, trust, and participating in God’s life. David and the guys explore the idea that rest is not laziness, but rather a deep trust in God’s work and a recognition of our identity in Christ. They also touch on the need for a reformation in the church and the importance of embracing the essential values of the gospel. David shares practical advice for living in rest and invites listeners to reimagine what it means to be the body of Christ.
