QUOTES
“We express our sense of ourselves and our experience through language and even before we express it, we understand it that way.”
“Language helps us interpret our experiences…what stories we tell ourselves or what we tell other people about what happened to us. It’s an interpretive frame for the rest of our lives.”
Regarding the Word became flesh: “To think about words as symbols and even that idea is also a metaphor but also literal… I can’t even understand it on a literal level but the possibilities and the implications are endless and it should shape everything that we think and we do.”
“What I’m trying to understand better about God… is how we relate to God through the church and in the church that is so imperfect and fallen…”

We could donate $10,000 in 10 different cities each month. Learn more!

QUOTES
As if reading Numbers genealogies or lists of how many people were in the tribes was as important and true as the red letters in the gospels”
“So, to call me a Marcionite, frankly it’s just slander.”
Teaching children under 10 to read scripture – “John 10:10 The thief is the death dealer, God is life-giver. When it (scripture) says God is the death dealer, that’s cause we got to tell the story…” Brad Jersak
“God is love but He’s also righteous, God is love but He’s also holy, God is love but He’s also just. As if those were in competition. As if you could have a holiness, righteousness and justice that isn’t love in the divine nature. Well, here’s some bad news, the holiness, justice and righteous that is not divine love is the Pharisees, that’s what crucified the Son of God” Brad Jersak on the nature and attributes of God.
